The United States and Bosnia recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on digitalizing the Public Procurement Agency (PPA). This is a positive step in Millennium Partners’ efforts to assist the BiH PPA increase transparency, risk mitigation, and oversight, as part of its BiH E-Governance Activity. A similar MOU between the U.S. and Bosnian government was previously signed with the Federal Administration for Inspections Affairs to formalize their mutual commitment to support the E-Governance Activity’s efforts to develop a new Information Management System for all inspection services in the different governing entities.
The success of these MOUs enhances Millennium Partners’ efforts on this project. Millennium is currently aiming to accomplish the objectives set by the E-Governance Activity through establishing a centralized ICT procurement application in four pilot cantons of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is working with USAID to develop two modules, the Social Witnesses Engagement Module and the Contractor/Vendor Past Performance Report, that will work with the existing e-procurement system.
